Croatia was internationally recognized as a nation on January 15, 1992. Dubrovnik is one of the world's most beautiful places. The Serbian Empire reached its peak in the 14th century.

Location: Southern Europe, the Balkans.

Capitals: Croatia: Zagreb, Serbia: Belgrade

Offical Language: Croatia: Croatian; Serbia: Serbian

Geography: To the south, Adriatic Sea; to the north, Panonian Valley with fertile farmland-Central is mountains and hills.

Population: Croatia: 4,227,746; Serbia: 7,012,165 (Estimated 2020)

Foods: Appetizers: cheese cake (gibanica) and vegetable cake. Major meal: stuffed peppers, stuffed grape or sour cabbage leaves-sarma.
